I'm making these entries more and more often...

- Before everything else, I'll note that I'll be away next week. Family vacation and all. Leaving on Monday and returning on Staurday. I might bring my EA equipment along, I wouldn't mind doing a few new strip sketches while I'm there.

- So last week, I started that 'job' I told you all about in my last entry. It started a bit slow though... I started on Monday, at 9:00 AM. Got there pretty early, at least I had time to get used to the place.

Talking about place, it's a 5-storey office building not too far from where I live. I'm working on the 4th floor, which is a long, open area full of desks with computers and various decorations (small disco ball and bat-winged skull hanging from the ceiling, article clippings, dart board on wall, loads of stuff ).

They gave me a desk right in front of the office of those people who are the bosses of this news homepage I'm working for. Not much of a pressure though, the people there are alright (bosses and employees alike). Sometimes they bring along their pets to work too. I've met two dogs last week in the office - one was like a golden retriever, the other one's a small type. They walk around the whole office, have a glance at people, then go on to somebody else. The place has good atmosphere, all in all.

I've written at least 9 articles last week, from which 5 got published on the homepage (with some corrections by the editors, of course). Felt good. Writing is not much of a stress, but it gets boring sometimes, when I'm just sitting at the desk for a new task.

- A few weeks ago, when I was at my grandparents' house, I found a few fir-cones under a large fir tree in the garden. I figured I could have a go at growing fir trees myself, so I extracted a handful of seeds from the cones (hammer FTW). When we came home, I planted them in a long box. From what my parents told me, it could take at least a year for these plants to sprout. Well, I accepted this and kept watering them...

Last week, one of seeds decided to start growing. It must be at least 2 cm high now, with 7 spikes at the top (I might post a few shots later on). We were all surprised, didn't expect the seeds to sprout this early.

Don't mind me, I come from a plant-growing family...



No, not those kind of plants. Don't you go ordering any "substances" from me.
